How to Cook Sausage Patties in the Air Fryer

It’s easy to cook breakfast sausages from scratch!

  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl and refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.
  2. Divide seasoned meat into 6 portions and shape it into patties.
  3. Air fry in a single layer (per recipe below), flipping halfway through.

Check the internal temperature for 160°F for doneness. Patties should be lightly browned and crispy on the edges.

  • Lightly shape the patties instead of pressing down so they retain more air and don’t become dense and flat.

Air Fryer Sausage Patties

This crispy and juicy air fryer breakfast sausage is so quick and easy to cook. Perfect for busy mornings when you are in a hurry. 
Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Total Time 20 minutes
Servings 6 servings



  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon fennel seeds slightly crushed
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon sage
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • teaspoon thyme leaves
  • teaspoon cayenne pepper


  • Mix pork and seasonings in a medium bowl until fully combined. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  • Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
  • Divide meat into 6 patties about ½ inch thick. Place in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook for 5 minutes, flip the patties and cook them for another 4-5 minutes or until they reach 160°F internally.
