Ingredients and Variations
Salmon – This recipe calls for canned salmon, but it will work equally well with fresh or frozen air fryer salmon. It’s a great way to use up leftovers! Along with mayonnaise, egg binds the ingredients together to create perfect patties!
Breadcrumbs – Use tasty seasoned breadcrumbs in your favorite flavor. Panko will work well, too. Or make a keto or low-carb version, use keto breadcrumbs, almond flour, or another keto substitution of choice.
Seasonings – There are so many options for seasoning these air fryer salmon patties! If lemon pepper isn’t on hand, try Cajun seasoning for blackened salmon patties, try Greek seasoning, or use a blend of your own!
How to Make Air Fryer Salmon Patties
When it comes to making dinner, it doesn’t get much easier than this!
- Drain salmon well and in a mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients thoroughly.
- Form into 3-inch salmon patties.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and cook the patties (per recipe below) flipping once.
Leftovers?
- Uncooked salmon patties can be made ahead, refrigerated overnight, and cooked the next day.
- Cooked salmon patties are best consumed within 3-4 days, and will retain their flavor in the freezer for 3 months, sealed in an airtight container. But they are safe to eat for up to a year or more.
- To reheat from frozen, preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Place a single layer of frozen salmon patties in the air fryer basket and cook for about 12 minutes or until golden and crispy.
