Air Fryer Shishito Peppers Ingredients

Roasted shishito peppers are a sweet (and sometimes spicy!) snack, side dish, or a bistro-worthy addition to burgers, paninis, and salads.

Shishito Peppers – Small and green with lightly wrinkled skins, shishitos can be found at most supermarkets in the produce section. Pick whole, unblemished peppers with the ‘cap’ intact. For gardeners, shishito peppers are easy to grow from seeds.

Seasonings – Leftover bacon grease adds a smoky flavor to roasted shishitos. Lighter seasonings like a simple Italian blend will add crispy flavor to the skins, if desired.

Variations – Brush honey butter over shishito peppers before cooking in Step 3. Or toss them in a zesty ginger soy marinade before roasting.
