Simple Air Fryer Appetizer
We love chicken in the air fryer, the outsides are crunchy while the inside is tender and juicy.
- Move over deep fryer because the air fryer makes the best crispy chicken wings.
- No pot of oil or mess from deep frying.
- They take much less time (and come out better) than oven-baked.
- Air-fried chicken wings are so simple to make and jam-packed with garlicky parmesan flavor.
Just mix the sauce ingredients, toss with the chicken, and air fry. Ready in less than 30 minutes, it’s so easy, so quick, and so simple. And don’t forget the dipping sauce, because wings are really the best with a good sauce to dip in!
Ingredients & Variations
WINGS Buy bone-in chicken wings for this recipe. I use split chicken wings which means the wings are split into little drumettes (small drumsticks) and flats (wingettes) with the wingtips discarded, this is how they’re most often sold at the grocery store.
You can cook whole chicken wings in the air fryer but they’re more cumbersome.
SAUCE A little bit of butter, some garlic, parmesan cheese, and spices are all that’s needed for this recipe. Remember to mince or press the garlic for the best results.
GARLIC We use a double dose of garlic in this recipe. Garlic powder flavors the wings and doesn’t burn as it cooks while fresh garlic cooked in a little bit of butter has the best flavor for the sauce.
VARIATIONS Try breading the chicken before mixing it with the sauce. Or add a little bit of sriracha to the sauce to give these wings a spicy kick.
