4 Simple Ingredients!

Chicken – Bone-in, skin-on thighs will have more flavor than boneless and skinless, but either will do.

Seasonings – Buy or make Italian seasoning. Even a simple sprinkle of garlic powder and salt and pepper will add flavor to the crispy skin.

Variations – Brush on your favorite BBQ sauce or buffalo sauce halfway through cooking so it glazes onto the skin.

Tips for Chicken Thighs

  • Chicken thighs should read 165°F on a thermometer, but can be pulled from the air fryer at around 162°F since they will cook a little longer as they rest.
  • The key to perfectly air-fried food is always to preheat the air fryer. The burst of hot air circulates the chicken, making it crispy without using a lot of fat.
  • Be sure to separate pieces of chicken that might be frozen together and avoid overcrowding the air fryer or the chicken won’t cook evenly. Keep cooked chicken warm in the oven if cooking in batches. Broil chicken for about 2 minutes for even crispier skins.
  • Keep leftover chicken thighs in the refrigerator in a covered container for up to 3 days. Reheat them in the air fryer at 400°F for 3-4 minutes.
