Vortex Air Fryer Apple Hand Pies
They are incredibly delicious, super crispy, totally full with apple and cinnamon and so so easy to make.
I went ahead and made the pie crust from scratch (so I included the recipe) however you can also use store-bought pie crust to keep this recipe even easier and faster.
I found that you totally need to brush the pies with oil before placing them in the air fryer if you really want them to be evenly golden brown and crispy. I first tried just drizzling them with oil but they only got golden brown where the oil had touched them.
