Having a good choice of sauce recipes is the best way for adding variety to meals. The sauce is like the icing on a cake, but for main dishes, side dishes, and appetizers!

Most sauce recipes are simple and don't take much time to make, and they can push that dish the extra mile in flavor.

How to Store Leftover Sauce

Some sauces have a good shelf life and can be kept for a couple of days, even weeks in the refrigerator. Some freeze well, but others like the cream and cheese sauces are best used up within days.

For sauces that can be frozen, freeze them in portions that can be used up within one meal.

A basic and easy sauce recipe ranges from the creamy white sauce which is so good for mixing with air fryer broccoli and cauliflower, drizzling over chicken breasts, or adding to a pizza.

Add a little shredded cheddar cheese, or cream cheese to this white sauce and turn it into a hard-to-resist flavorful dip for nachos, or mix it into some pasta for a homemade air fryer mac and cheese.

Then there is the family of tomato sauces which range from mild to spicy. Some of these include a classic bolognese sauce, for pasta, or a simple salsa that is perfect with some tacos.

There is a whole other range of dipping sauces like brown sauces, butter sauces, fish sauces, and hot sauces that are just waiting to be tried.

But the most important thing about sauces is to try them. They will bring the dishes at the dinner table to a whole new level of impressive flavor!
