Place the bacon in the air fryer basket and cook for 6-7 minutes or until crispy.
Remove from the basket and place on a paper towel don't discard the bacon grease. Crumble the bacon and set aside for later.
Toss the potatoes in a medium bowl with the seasonings and bacon grease.
Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket and cook for 10-13 minutes or until fork-tender.
Using the bottom side of a measuring cup or glass gently crush the potatoes and top with cheese.
Cook for 2 more minutes or until cheese is melted.
Garnish with sour cream, bacon bits, and green onions.
Notes
Don't overfill the air fryer basket with potatoes as they will take up more space once smashed. Cook in batches if needed. Heat all batches together before serving for 3 minutes.
